Update Sectors

For delivery environments, sectors can be created to allow different delivery charges and driver reimbursement amounts (if applicable) to be applied to an order based on where that order is being delivered.  For example, you may create a sector called "A1" where the delivery charge is $1.00 and the driver reimbursement is $0.50.  Then, simply attach this sector to all applicable streets within that area ("A1").  Conversely, you may create a sector called "B1" where the delivery charge is $1.50 and the driver reimbursement is $0.75 and attach that sector to the appropriate streets.  Now, whenever a delivery order is placed, the appropriate delivery charge and driver reimbursement may be applied.

Driver reimbursement that varies by sector must be configured on the Driver tab of Location Maintenance.

Sectors are used system-wide; one defined sector may be applied to multiple streets.  It is not necessary to create individual sectors for individual streets. For more information on attaching a sector to a street, see Update Streets.

Tip: Per-Sector Driver reimbursement is an optional system setting. It is not required to create a sector to use standard reimbursement.
